Our new president expresses his surprise and joy at being nominated. Brian, our eldest player at the tender age of 84 has been playing Eb bass for us for many years. Brian has been with the band for 20 years plus and a member of the committee for most of them. “What a surprise that was, thank you for putting your trust in me and nominating me. I started playing when my grandchildren joined the band and have seen many players over the years. Croft Band is a great band to be in and we go from strength to strength and I’m very proud to have my grandson as our MD. I will endeavour to represent the band to the best of my ability”.
